Undeserving...

To be called EVENING GOWNS... Wore by pretty Beauty Queens in all Grand Slam Pageants, what were they thinking when they chose their gowns? Undeserving... Icon_pale

Please post yours.

1. Yukari Kuzuya / Miss Japan Universe 2005: They let slipped thru their hands the chance to be in the semi-finals with this stauesque girl 6'1" or 1.85, wearing the WRONG gown, for me it isn't an evening gown at all. Undeserving... Icon_silent

2. Minka Alagic / Miss Slovenia Universe 2001: Beautiful girl and the dress Undeserving... Icon_arrow

... Not mentioning the shoes of course. Undeserving... Icon_mad

For Miss Japan, I think Ines Ligron wants to experiment new things by adding some fashion in EG competition.
Poor Yukari, MU org is not ready to embrace the fashion trend that Ines wants to instill to everybody...
But good thing, MU org was able to embrace Riyo, Kurara, Hiroko and Miyako after Yukari...

For Miss Slovenia.. i don't know the reason behind her EG.

Some notes:

1. Miss Japan Universe 2005: The baby empire cut golden dress is cut in a cocktail party or mini event but for it to compete in an Evening Gown Portion in MU is a no-no. This is not yet the time for this type of styling in a competition. Give it a decade or two. This look will surely be a hit!

2. Miss Slovenia Universe 2001: Need I say more? The gown is just too tacky and too costumey in anyone's taste.

3. Miss Venezuela Universe 1993: This is a little bit tricky since let's take it to consideration the time she competed. During that time the 80's vibe is still among pageant directors. Thus, they preferred a ball gown cut. Back then, bigger is better. Stiffer and very prominent ruffles were such big hits since they look like queens and princesses in fairy tales.

I pity European beauties most of the time. Beautiful faces with trashy gowns...and that I really DO NOT understand. Why? Don't they have professional designers there???

LOL,..ALL OF THESE POSTED GOWNS ARE HORRIBLE
BUT I REMEMBER THAT I LOVED MILKA CHULINA´S GOWN DURING HER PAGEANT.
BUT OH WELL,..I WAS STILL A SMALL CHILD WITH NO CLUE ABOUT FASHON!!! lol!

i think what they wore was something wearable during the evening...or they took advantage of the fact that its not a LONG gown competition i think there's a difference...

but honestly, i'd really like it if the girls would wear something uncoventional during the evening gown or long gown competition... knit

i like yukari's dress...the problem is it's not a PAGEANT GOWN!
