so sad... for the start of the decade... so inshort VENUS was the girl in the blind item before... right??? because few weeks ago before the coronation night there was a blind item that referring on the candidate who might get disqualified because of her citizenship... so now its confirmed... tsk tsk tsk...

That's the news. But I guess there is still hope..... This is plain stupidity on the part of BPCI!!!!

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), in a statement today, March 29, said they have to let go of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2010 Maria Venus Raj for inconsistencies in her birth records and her personal account of her birth.

Ngayong araw, Marso 29, alas-sais ng gabi, nakatanggap ng ulat ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na nakatakdang bawian ng korona ang kasalukuyang Bb. Pilipinas-Universe winner na si Maria Venus Bayonito Raj. Kinukuwestiyon ng Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) ang kanyang nasyunalidad.



Nitong March 6 lang nakoronahan ang 21-year-old na si Venus sa Araneta Coliseum sa katatapos lang na coronation night ng Binibining Pilipinas 2010. Ayon sa aming source, kinakausap ng mga abugado ng BPCI si Venus at nasa negosasyon kung paanong mareresolba ang kasalukuyang problema ng half-Indian, half-Filipina na dalaga.



Agad na kinontak ng PEP ang BPCI upang makumpirma ang natanggap na ulat. Ang Corporate Affairs and PR Manager ng BPCI na si Jenny Inocencio-Marcial ang nakasagot sa tawag PEP.



Kinumpirma ni Ms. Marcial ang natanggap na ulat ng PEP. Nakita nga ng BPCI na may inconsistencies sa statements ni Venus at ng kanyang ina, at sa legal documents na isinumite nina Venus bilang patunay ng kanyang nasyunalidad.



"We found inconsistencies in their statements. Both Venus and her mother said she was born in Doha, Qatar, while yung na-submit nilang legal documents say she was born in the Philippines," pahayag ni Ms. Marcial.



Ayon pa sa BPCI PR Manager, kinakausap nga raw nila ngayon si Venus at "ine-explore" kung ano pa ang puwedeng remedyo sa kinasusuungang problema ni Venus ngayon.



"We don't want din naman to give her family the pain of being in a situation like this. I'm sure Venus has nothing to do with this and we will find a way to deal with this problem," dagdag pa ni Ms. Marcial.



Ipinadala rin ni Ms. Marcial ang official statement ng BPCI through text: "Today March 29, 2010, Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. decided, with a heavy heart, to let Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2010 Maria Venus Raj go, after the organization discovered inconsistencies contained in her birth records, in contrast to her personal account of her birth."



Kinausap din ng PEP si Ces Evangelista, dating Hi! magazine Editor-in-Chief at representative ng mga taong nagma-manage kay Venus. Ani Ces, kahit na may lahing-Indian si Venus ay sa Pilipinas naman ito lumaki. Babalikan na lamang daw niya ang PEP kung ano ang susunod na hakbang ng grupo nila hinggil sa problema ng kanilang alaga.



Matatandaang ang pagkuwestiyon din sa nasyunalidad ang naging dahilan ng pagkakabawi ng korona kina Anjanette Abayari (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1991), Tisha Silang (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1998), at Janelle Bautista (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1999). Ipinanganak at lumaki sa U.S. sina Anjanette at Janelle, habang sa Canada naman si Tisha.



Sa pagbawi ng korona kay Venus, posibleng puwedeng makoronahan bilang Bb. Pilipinas-Universe ang First Runner-up na si Diane Elaine Samar Necio o ang Second Runner-up na si Helen Nicolette Mercado Henson.



Si Venus sana ang magre-represent sa Pilipinas sa 59th Miss Universe Pageant na gagawin bandang Agosto o Septyembre ng taong ito sa isang ia-announce pa lang na bansa.

There is still hope dear depending on the lawyers of Miss Raj. They are now working out on this matter. I hope BPCI will open their eyes and Venus is the perfect and most prepared girl we have to represent us in Miss Universe
