Vertiz, who stands 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in), competed as USA Peru, one of 12 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant Miss Perú 2011, held on June 25, 2011 in Callao, where she obtained the Best Body and Miss Silhouette awards. Her nutritionist and trainer,Daniel Rios and Xavier Rios, succeeded with his advisement towards her winning of "Best Body of Peru"
