Re: Reunion of former Philippine beauty queens
These are the ladies who put Philippines in the map of pageantry. Our beauty queens in this era were the ones to beat. we were like Venezuela at that time.
It's good to see the our queens in 1972 - one of the best years for Binibini.
Evangeline Reyes was a semi-finalist in Miss World
Yolanda Dominguez was 2nd runner-up in Miss International and won the Best in National Costume.
Not in picture is Barbara Armi Crespo won was a semi-finalist in Miss Universe.

1972 was a good year for BPCI indeed for apart from Yogi & Armi, it's two other queens, Maria Lourdes Mauleon Vallejo and Bernice Romualdez were semi-finalist at Miss Young International and Maja International, respectively...Eva was chosen as the country's representative to Miss World via the Miss Republic of the Philippines [or simply Miss RP] pageant...what more our Mutya ng Pilipinas Yvette Marie Alfon was Miss Asia First Runner-up--
SUCH AN AMAZING YEAR FOR THE PHILIPPINES -- 1972!

O great. Thanks for the info dear. We placed in all international pageants we joined that year. Was there a pageant we missed to include?

You forgot to mention that also in 1972, there was a pageant that was held in Thailand. It was called the MISS CHARMING INTERNATIONAL. Our representative Milagros Dorado Gutierrez was 2nd runner-up.
