Hmm! I just had a thought, since they changed the Miss Universe crown in 2009 with the red stones, both Stefania and Ximena wore red gowns and won the TITLE!!! Very odd right, I am not saying that all contestants should wear red gowns, but it did work for Stefania and Ximena to match the crown. Twisted Evil Suspect Hmm!

picking a red dress is quite perfect for beauty pageants because most of the pageants like Miss Universe prefers women who have greater sex appeal. Red is the color you must wear to increase that sex appeal.

Ximena used red because Lupita made this first. This was a tribute to her and to one of the mexican flag colors. They thought that red would be auspicious. And was!!!
